Book a Movement Class

I am currently offering in-person or virtual, group and private dance classes in Ballet, Contemporary/Modern Dance, Choreography and Improvisation for students of all ages and levels.

You can train with me through the following ways:

1) Private in-person dance classes and mentoring

You can request in-person private classes, coaching and mentoring sessions for students of all ages and levels via email. These classes can be a private or you can request me to teach an already formed group of any size. I offer classes in Ballet, Contemporary/Modern Dance, Improvisation, Pointe and Choreography and would be adjusting them to your level. I am available for bookings in NYC and the Tri-State area as well as Philadelphia and Boston (with advanced notice). The length of the class would be defined based on your needs and the training frequency can also be adjusted to your preference. The location of the classes will also be defined based on your needs (I can book dance studio space at an extra cost).

I also offer mentoring for students currently applying to college BFA/BA programs, trainee opportunities, auditioning for companies, summer intensives and dance competitions. I am available to choreograph audition solos, help students and families navigate the application process, resume building, filming of audition material (such as classwork, variations etc), assist with putting together portfolio material (such as headshots, recommendation letters etc) and offer customized technical, artistic and career building feedback. Some of the students I have mentored have gotten accepted into programs such as the Boston Ballet, Joffrey, Interlochen Arts Academy, the Rock School for Dance Education and others.

Please email me with any inquiries including a detailed description of: the student’s age, level, if you are interested in a private or group class, location preference and what you are hoping to achieve through our sessions together. I will then offer you a detailed summary of rates, scheduling and other booking details.

Parent Review

"Lydia is a rare gem in the dance world. Lydia’s teaching has made all the difference to our daughter and fortuitously meeting Lydia has changed the trajectory of her ballet career. We could not be more thrilled or feel luckier that we happened to find Lydia and she has taken our daughter under her wing. Starting from a forced gap in training because of the pandemic, under Lydia’s tutelage, our daughter was accepted to some of the top summer intensives in the country.”

Parent Review

“A stickler for technique and musicianship, Lydia is equally concerned about the mental and emotional growth and health of her students. Ballet is not just an activity or hobby for her students, it’s an art form and a way of life. .

As much as Lydia has taught our daughter, she’s also guided us as parents through the maze of ballet schools and summer intensives. Choreography, music, wardrobe, hair and makeup, lighting, photography and videography, studios…Lydia handled every detail of preparing our daughter’s summer intensives applications. Much like a college coach, she advised us about each program and its suitability, reputation, and merits, giving us a frank assessment about our chances and her recommendations.

We cannot thank Lydia enough for everything she has done for our daughter and our family."
